Frontline Plus has definitely achieving a higher degree of recognition. However, the question is which product is the best product? Below is comparision of the two products and their common characteristics.

¹ People often apply Frontline and then feel it is not working. They actually begin seeing more fleas. Fleas generally stay hidden on the dog or cat deep in the hair. Frontline effects the nervous system of the flea causing the fleas to come to surface instead of hiding and you are seeing the actual number of fleas on your dog or cat. This is a good sign because the product is working and the fleas are dying.   

² Both companies claim repeat bathing does not effect these products. However, this depends on type of shampoo you use. Many medicated shampoos and soap based shampoos will strip these products from the hair. The use of non-soap shampoos such as Allergroom are recommended.. 

1. If you have a major flea problem out of control then Frontline Plus will kill adults as well as eliminate immature stages.
2. If you have a tick problem Frontline Plus is the choice.
3.  If you using these Frontline Plus or Advantage simply to control and prevent fleas than the products are equal. In that case I recommend buying the product that is most cost efficient.
